Google Sitemap Help

Welcome to Node Map, the site that gets you up to speed on Google's New Sitemap technology. Here you can download open source software to spider your web site and create a complete text sitemap file that is ready to go. You can also sign up for a free sitemap.xml/sitemap.xml.gz validation account. The validation service is packed with features not found in any other XML validator, and it has been specifically designed to aid in troubleshooting the parser errors you may have received when trying to upload your Sitemap.

There is also a growing list of FAQ's where you can find detailed information about creating your sitemap.xml files by hand, using the Google python software, or by using a scripting language such as PHP.

Relative Importance Reporting

This feature will analyze the links listed in your validated Google Sitemap file and determine the probability that each particular page will end up in search results. The report lists the links in order of importance, and includes the information used in making the calculation.
